INTERESTING

In a long and quite fascinating comment, I. M. Flaud alludes to a book by Herb Gintis, Human Evolution: A Behavioral Synthesis, on the hypothesized origin of human cooperative social intelligence.  I shall have to hunt it up and take a look.

Why we Cooperate by Michael Tomasello is a devastatingly good critique of capitalism, albeit nothing in the book is about capitalism!

I.M. Flaud did not reference a book by H. Gintis but rather a 12-page paper, which one can download by clicking on the link to the pdf that I.M. Flaud provided. (I've downloaded the paper but only skimmed it.)
