ALL POLITICS ARE LOCAL
I spent three and a half miserable hours in the dentist's chair today. The experience does in fact take one's mind off politics, but I do not recommend it.
I had a deep dental cleansing recently, which lasted three hours, but divided into three sessions each a week apart, which is easier on the patient and on the dentist too, who thus can relax, stretch, look at the email on their phone or drink a glass of water between patients. A relaxed dentist tends to be more pleasant dentist in my experience.
A story, perhaps apocryphal: Once, when he was scheduled to make a speech, Gordon Brown, then Chancellor of the British Exchequer, underwent a root canal procedure without anaesthetic.
Three and a half hours in a dentist's chair?
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of dental procedure did you undergo?

ReplyDeleteI had my last wisdom tooth pulled. That actually hurt.
