It's...First, France is not a socialist country. It's a capitalist country with a new government led by the Socialist Party. Conservative or centrist governments have run France for most of the last twenty years. France Telecom is a private company. It is a good example of how privatization and deregulation never produce the sort of efficiency and quality work that conservatives promise.
Second, pretty much the same sorts of things Bob Wolff describes in his struggles with France Telecom happen to me every time I have to call Verizon about problems with my internet service. I'm fairly sure Verizon is not run by socialists.Jim Smethursthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13834065318718385769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5687347459208158501.post-27711735471548617552012-07-03T15:39:55.151-04:002012-07-03T15:39:55.151-04:00what i continue to find amazing is how you do noth...what i continue to find amazing is how you do nothing but praise the wonders of socialist countries and yet fail to see that this is exactly an example of why socialism failed. in socialist countries companies face little or no competition, therefore they could care less about customer satisfaction.
you her the same stories of similar things occuring in all former socialist economiesJCEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09270393535746081359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5687347459208158501.post-63610403337135712822012-07-03T11:39:47.068-04:002012-07-03T11:39:47.068-04:00Congratulations on your success with FranceTelecom...Congratulations on your success with FranceTelecom. Also, congratulations on your new Gig with Bennett. I hope this doesn't keep you away from teaching at OLLI@Duke. We miss you. I have been getting my "Robert Paul Wolff Fix" through your Blogg but it is not the same as a class. I was hoping that you would do a Philosophy Class on John Bordley Rawls at OLLI.Gary Childershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08563251586538828301noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5687347459208158501.post-37754705156605613552012-07-03T08:30:21.095-04:002012-07-03T08:30:21.095-04:00http://virginmediasucks.com/
