A BRIEF HICCUP

I had planned to post the third part of my little discussion on the study of society today, but writing a ton of thank you letters for my scholarship organization took time, and there have been several comemnts I would like to respond to [including one lengthy comment that got posted four times, thanks to the mysterious ways of the blogosphere], and now I must spend two hours in the dentist's chair for the second part of my root canel, so things are a bit delayed. My apologies.
