An Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Barcelona just sent me an email, telling me that he had taken my Formal Methods tutorial and transformed it into a book, using opensource software and one thing and another. It is just gorgeous! As soon as I finish teaching today, I am going to post it on box.net in addition to the individual chapters, which are in my much less attractive format. What a wonderful thing the internet is! This is like one vast international collaboration. Now if we could only figure out how to take over the economy and run it as a socialist collective. :)
Unluckily, the most notorious Spanish figures promoting free software and copyleft are pro-market and the traditional justice system, that is to say, they´re reformists. They still believe in parlamentary democracy and capitalist economy. In any case, many interesting things are going on in Spain concerning the global "copyright wars".
