SONG OF MYSELF
I got up last night at 1 a.m. [as us old guys will do], and having nothing better to do, spent an hour watching myself deliver a lecture at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. The lecture is called "What Good is a Liberal Education?" and I was so taken by it that I decided to post the text on box.net, where you can now find it. The talk is a defense of liberal education as a way of keeping alive the hope for liberation, and might be described as out of Freud by Marx and Marcuse. You may find it interesting.
