HUMBLE CORRECTION

Philosopher John Troyer tells me that the Mulberry Street in Dr. Seuss's first book is actually in Springfield, Mass, where Theodore Geisel was born and raised. I guess since my parents lived not far from Mulberry Street in Lower Manhattan when my sister, Barbara, was born, I just assumed that was the locus. Who knew???
