NIGHTMARES

Susie and I have spent a number of hours watching the live coverage of the nightmare in San Bernardino.  There really is nothing useful to say.  This is, in many important ways, a simply awful country.  There is nothing, up to and including the attempted assassination of an iconic Republican president, that would lead our elected representatives to put rational limits on gun ownership and use.  It  is at times like this that I bemoan my inability to believe in a usable Hell.
