PRE-DAWN

There was a lovely crescent moon hanging low in the Eastern sky this morning at five a.m. when I began my walk, with the Morning Star [the planet Venus] above it and a bit to the Southwest.  I tried to get a picture of it for you but the IPhone could not handle it.  Even on the busy route 54 into Chapel Hill, five is a good deal earlier than six,
