I'd say rather that more people study Kant in the university than study Freud, so you got a lot of university students hoping that you could explain Kant to them beter than their professor did and thus, they'd shine on their exams or term paper and get a better final grade.
On the other hand, those who listen to the Freud lectures are in general people who for one reason or another are just simply interested in Freud.
