The Trump admin has cut $100 million in U.S. funding for the UN agency that aids Palestinian refugees, and the State Dept has announced that all U.S. aid to the Palestinians is under review. This callous attempt to exercise leverage on one party to the I/P conflict without exercising comparable leverage on the other party will likely accomplish only one thing (in addition to causing increased human suffering): namely, the accelerated disappearance of whatever very tattered shreds of U.S. legitimacy/authority may still exist w.r.t. the moribund 'peace process'.
Not on topic, but I hope your place in Paris is doing okay during the floods - it looks like it could be a mess there. I'd be sorry to hear it was damaged!
Brilliant. Rarely do I concur with museum elites but this decision was truly inspired.
