ONE OF THE THINGS I LOVE ABOUT THIS BLOG

is that the readership is full of people who know all sorts of things really well that I do not know or about which I have only a sketchy awareness.  At its best, it is like an extended Senior Common Room conversation over sherry.

    This is why I have read every post that you have written, and most of the comments on them, since I discovered your blog via Brian Leiter's blog some years ago. I have learned much, not just from your writings, Prof, but also from your readers.
