A MOMENT OF NOSTALGIA IN THESE AWFUL TIMES
Some time around 1948 or 1949, when I was a teenager, I went to a Pete Seegar concert at Town Hall in New York City. He played this song. It was not a better time, but it was a time when it was possible to believe that things would get better.
