It is often the case the deleted emails first end up in a deleted folder. If you look around in your email program you may be able to find the "deleted" folder and recover it.

Sigh. I tried the trash folder. Unfortunately, I empty that rather frequently. It was a very interesting question and I really would like to answer it.
Esther, I skimmed through my second Kant lecture and could not find a reference to a book that you might be referring to,. Can you give me a little bit more information about what you are looking for?
