BLOGS ARE WIERD
I post a brief comment about adopting a cat and my lack of response to 9/11, and the result? An extended discussion of occasionalism. Who could have predicted?
Yes, it is sort of like the parlor game Telephone (sometimes called Chinese Whispers), where the final message transmitted to the last person in a series of participants differs significantly from the original message.
Sorry, I got carried away. But to be fair, Jerry Brown goaded me. Then each comment elicits a response, and back and forth it goes. I feel it's rude not to respond, but then I notice the comments' section getting longer and longer, and then I feel like I've somehow hijacked the discussion, which was not my intention.
I would have been happy if someone had said it's interesting that you think that way, and by the way, that's a nice poem you posted about the "red slayer" by Emerson and leave it at that. Or at most a few comments.
In any event, I hope people gained something useful from the discussion.
Ahmed, I apologize for using the word 'moronic' to describe your belief. I still disagree with you about that but there is nothing moronic about your descriptions and defense of your beliefs. It was the wrong word to use in that place and I can see how you might feel I was goading you. Sorry.
It IS interesting that you think that way and while I am not much into poetry, I guess the poem you posted was nice.
