WILL WONDERS NEVER CEASE?

Now that Donald Trump appears likely to win the Republican presidential nomination, we may contemplate the probability of a debate between Trump and Clinton or Trump and Sanders in which there is common agreement that George W. Bush lied about the existence of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq in order to take the country into a disastrous war.   I freely confess that  I did not think I would live to see the day.  What is truly fascinating is that this heretical statement seems not to be costing Trump any support in a South Carolina Republican primary.  Trump is clearly going to run to the left of Clinton on foreign policy.

I don't know. Has he backed away from his talk about bombing ISIS and "taking their oil" and the like? Maybe people have already forgotten about that, and he'll never return to it, but he has pushed some aggressive lines at times, too. (I don't think he believes any of it, really, so that makes it hard to say what he'll do, but I do hope that the democrats, at least, are keeping track of him saying all sorts of things and preparing adds with him saying them. They can include his earlier support for the Iraq war. That should help neutralize this point for him with anyone who is really thinking about the issue.)

For those of us who don't live in the U.S. and who, before the days of internet, could not follow U.S. news closely, I link to this article about Trump. I knew the guy was a shit, but I never realized what a shit he was.

This is about the Pope's comments about Donald Trump. I've said it before, Trump's karma works on "reversed psychology". Pope Francis, a very great, wise, powerful, and beautiful man of faith, says Trump is not a true Christian because of the walls he wants to build, etc.. However, instead of hampering Trump in his electability, I think it would only help him. Like the mark put on Cain, by the Creator himself (in Genesis 4:15) it seems that Trump's luck works on "reversed psychology". So what is the solution to stop Trump winning the presidency? Everyone not for Trump must shout out: "Trump will win no matter what!" and "Trump will absolutely become the next President of he United States!" and "No presidential candidate can ever compete with Trump for the presidency!" And they must try to force themselves to believe it in their hearts. Perhaps God himself, on hearing these proud boasts, will humble such boasts, and Trump will not win the presidency. But will anyone listen to my advice? If they do, it will probably be too late!

Let us recall that the purpose of the mark put on Cain was to warn off anyone who sought to kill him. The Mark of Cain is a protection, not a curse.

You are right, Dr. Wolff. I was just thinking that Cain and Trump may be similar in the sense that Cain thought he was going to be killied by other men (or perhaps fauna) for killing Abel, but God reassured him that his mark would protect him from other's threats and plots of murder; in the same way, everyone (early supporters and opponents) kept thinking Trump would be murdered in the polls, but he is still leading as a Republican candidate. It was the reverse of what Cain expected happened to Cain and also the reverse of what others thought was going to happen to Trump happened to Trump, so far. Although, I agree I took the story of Cain out of context.
