Did you see Krugman's latest blog entry on Marx? http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/2016/02/29/partisan-classiness/?module=BlogPost-Title&version=Blog%20Main&contentCollection=Opinion&action=Click&pgtype=Blogs®ion=Body&_r=0 Needless to say, it's bad.
Sad that Krugman is so narrow-minded that he makes that comment about reading Capital. Capital is dry and it's over my head, but David Harvey (and others, I imagine) are doing work today using Capital as an intellectual reference point which seem more in touch with social reality than anything that appears in the New York Times editorial page. Still it's sad that the most progressive columnist, in what is supposed to be the most highbrow "liberal" newspaper in the richest country in the world, says that kind of thing.
