MY GRANDDAUGHTER

Here is a curious fact that seems to call into question one of the fundamental assumptions of Rational Choice Theory:  It is an indisputable fact that my granddaughter is cuter than anyone else's granddaughter.  Everyone I know thinks that his or her granddaughter is cuter than my granddaughter.  This ought to generate a contradiction, but it does not.  Both assertions are true.

By the way, now that Athena is six, she has graduated from Candyland and Go Fish to Backgammon.  But she is still a shark.  I would not recommend getting into a money Backgammon game with her.

That is a very beautiful picture! I do not have any granddaughters to compete. I always associate San Francisco with bright colors and happiness because of a very upbeat film called The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill, starring the escaped parrot activist, Mark Bittner and his animal friends. If you ever need a dose of San Francisco, it could transport you back.

Athena is also my granddaughter. I took the photo and it served as the cover for a large photobook celebrating her sixth birthday.
She is a beautiful young lady and was a great model for our photo shoot. Thanks for appreciating the picture.

Hi Bob! Great to see you in SF last weekend! I got to watch some of Athena's soccer game with Bob (Athena's my niece).
