Hmm. Very emotionally satisfying, but "Burn down the White House" (Madonna) and "murder" Trump in the womb probably aren't helpful. It's what Kellyanne and some of the media zoom in on.
Tom,
That depends on whether we're trying to enthuse the troops or to avoid alienating
passive bystanders.
Or trying to avoid their changing the subject.
Tom,
Who does "their" refer to?
Madonna didn't assert *Burn Down the White House*
Tom,
I think the sign is simply supposed to be funny -- it made me chuckle out loud, at any rate. It's not necessarily the expression of a desire that Trump should have been the subject of an abortion; it's a humorous way of expressing one of the march's concerns. Or so I read it.
On the other hand, you were a philosophy major and I wasn't, so perhaps I should yield to you on these interpretive questions. Then again, maybe not. I do acknowledge that the question is genuinely debatable.
s wallerstein, "their" refers to Kellyanne in all her interviews bringing the conversation back to Madoona. David Auerbach, you're right, she said, "I've thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House." Then she did go on to say that this wouldn't get us anywhere, but it was too late: she'd already given Kellyanne a bomb.
