I cannot properly form a coherent idea of the human suffering created when 1,500,000 families are evicted from their homes. Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk compete for bragging rights, doing something that a monkey did 60 years ago. They and their fellow billionaires could keep all those men and women and children in their homes for an amount of money that would scarcely put a dent in their fortunes. As I struggle with Parkinson’s Disease and the unavoidable burdens of aging, more and more I am saddened and angered by the sheer unnecessary misery human beings inflict on one another in countless ways. And for what? Life is all over so quickly.

Very funny. But I suppose Branson and Bezos would respond, “But the monkey didn’t make the rocket,” to which you would respond, “Neither did you.”
I believe I have offered this observation in previous comments regarding the capacity of humans for cruelty. After all, we have the DNA of apes within us, and apes, especially chimpanzees, can be particularly cruel to one another.
What we need is more profits and less prophets- thus spake Zarathustra.
As Marx put it love makes the world go round

I'm pretty sure that chimpanzees would object to paying taxes. They were also pretty mean to one another in the Planet of The Apes.

AA, challenging day? I was merely pointing out that HS and P are cousins. Also, like we humans, chimps are tribal and political. I was attacked by a more distant cousin in Nepal and an organ grinder's partner in L.A. so an attitude goes with the DNA I guess.
