REQUEST FOR TECH ADVICE

I want to get a voice recognition software package so that I can read onto my computer some of the things I am finding in my stacks of folders.  Dragon seems to be the industry standard.  Any suggestions, experience, expertise?

Dragon is surprisingly good so long as paired with the right hardware: if you have a fast processor, a quality soundcard, and a high quality microphone, then accuracy is very impressive after little bit of training. Indeed, this comment was dictated using Dragon. I did have to correct one word, "that" to "then".

Yes, Dragon, and get a good external microphone.

In the off chance your system is Mac, Dragon is really a Windows program.

@Unknown There's a version for Mac.

The Mac version of Dragon consistently over the years received very bad reviews, from very reliable sources.

Mac or Windows, you can't do better than Dragon unless you're using one of those remote Google apps that sends your voice over the Internet and returns text. I don't know if Google still offers that high quality service. If you have a Mac, voice recognition already comes with the base system that is very decent. -- Dave F.
